Golden City Fort Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer fort is situated in the city of Rajasthan Jaisalmer. It is believe that this fort is one of the “Live Fort” in the world, because traditional people are still living here. There is first colony made in 17th century outside the fort.
Jaisalmer fort is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan, which is made by Ravel Jaisal in 1156 AD. The city Jaisalmer is named after the Ravel Jaisal and jaisalmer city is made by “RAJPUT”.The wall of the fort is constructed with Yellow Sand Stone which turns golden in color as it gets shine from the sun raise.

The Thar Heritage Museum is located in the main market of the Jaisalmer and the laxmi Narayan khatri is the founder of this museum. This museum is for history, architecture, tradition of Jaisalmer and the History about how to make a ocean in the Thar Desert. The museum has ornaments, vintage weapons etc.

Bada bagh is also called Barabagh, it means to say “Big Garden”. Maharawal Jaisal Singh is the founder of the Bada Bagh and this garden made by maharawal’s son after death of maharawal in 1743. Bada bagh is made my the Yellowish Sand Stone and when sunsets shine on the wall of that so view is like scenic.

Jaisalmer War Museum
Jaisalmer War Museum dedicated to Indian Army and this museum made by Leftinent General Boby Methue. Jaisalmer War Museum is famous with another name JVM in Jaisalmer. This museum unveils the captured vehicles and weapons during the war 1965 and 1971, both war fought between India and Pakistan and won by India. Pakistani equipment were captured during the war which is placed to the Jaisalmer War Museum. Eventually these museums display the Indian Army force and show their bravery and increasing awareness about Indian Army force.

Kuldhara is situated in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, which is called the City of Souls. This village was inhabited by Paliwal Brahmins. But due to lack of water this village was not found. Jaisalmer’s minister Salim Singh used to be much oppressed on the villagers. The people, who were disturbed by this minister, had left the village late night and went away and cursed, therefore the village also eats the damned village. This place has now been opened by the Government for tourism.
